Project Update
The programming working group met March 28 and April 18. In March, the programming working group discussed student support services and shared concerns around the inclusivity of the design. HMFH revised flexible spaces, career pathways and access to changing facilities. The presentation on April 18 includes options for a ramp between the first and second floor. HMFH will provide the cost and options for gym space, an auditorium and athletic fields as part of the schematic design. HMFH Presentation – April 18
The Building Committee met on Thursday, April 11. HMFH Architects provided an update on the changes to the design to date. Members of the committee asked for the flexible spaces to be designed to be truly inclusive for all learners.

The sustainability working group met on April 11. There was extensive discussion on sustainability options. The group will reconvene on Tuesday, April 30 to set priorities so HFMH Architects can price options. HMFH Presentation – April 11
Construction management process – an interview subcommittee met last week to review the proposals submitted. The subcommittee will interview firms and make a recommendation to the Capital Facilities Committee on Wednesday, May 1.
Engineers will take test borings at the site starting Monday, April 29. Boring samples provide information about the makeup of the soil and help determine the type of foundation. This is an important component for the cost estimate. Some trees will be impacted to get equipment on the site. Engineers are expected to be onsite for approximately two weeks.
