1. Following significant events in the District this spring and to address student safety, Concord School Board has set a high priority over the summer on a comprehensive review and potential revision of its related policies and procedures.

2. Changes to student, parent and staff handbooks will be made as a result of this work, to ensure specific standards are communicated consistently across the District.

3. Professional development for all employees and instructional programs for all students will be put in place.

Communication & Policy Committee meetings are scheduled for July 8 and July 22. The Board is creating a means for engaging public participation at these meetings. As always, there will be an opportunity for public review and input at the meetings. The Board also encourages public feedback on policies through email messages.
