Acting Superintendent Timothy Herbert
Timothy Herbert has served as principal of Concord High School since 2023. In August 2025, he was appointed by the Board of Education as Acting Superintendent of the Concord School District.
Dr. Herbert has more than 15 years of experience in education and school leadership. Prior to becoming principal, he served as Assistant Principal at Concord High School from 2019 to 2023, and at Pembroke Academy from 2012 to 2019. He began his career in 2007 as a special education teacher and team leader, where he developed a strong foundation in supporting diverse learners.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in social science education from Plymouth State University, a master’s in special education from the University of Phoenix, and a master’s in principal and special education administration from Rivier University. He went on to earn a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership and a Doctorate in Restorative Justice Education, both from Plymouth State University. Dr. Herbert holds superintendent certification from the State of New Hampshire.
Throughout his career, Dr. Herbert has been committed to fostering inclusive learning environments, and building strong school communities focused on student success.
