Neighborhood & Abutter Meeting

The Concord School District will hold a meeting on Thursday, March 12 at Rundlett Middle School to discuss the middle school construction project.
The project team will share a construction timeline and its impact on the school and the surrounding neighborhoods, as well as an overview of the traffic impact. A full presentation of the traffic report is available on the district’s YouTube channel: Building Committee Meeting - February 5, 2026.

Location: Rundlett Middle School – New Activity Room

The meeting will be recorded by Concord Community Television and posted online the next day.

Project Update to the Board of Education

District administration created a report which will be shared with the Board of Education each month.

Building size: projected: 205,562 sf Mechanical enclosures: 8,933 sf (additional) Enrollment capacity: 900 Total project approved budget  $155,718,801             (not to exceed cost after rebates & credits)

Location: 146 South Street Construction start: April 2026 School opens: December 2028 Project status: On Schedule

 

February 2026 – Project Milestones

Building Committee Meeting Steve Largy, athletic director, reviewed the tentative athletic plan for spring and fall sports Rebecca Brown, traffic engineer, reviewed the traffic report The committee briefly discussed LEED certification	February 5
State Fire Marshall Review Met with the state and local fire marshal, and the engineering consultants for MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) as well as the fire protection engineer The project will have to reflect the adoption of the 2024 new IBC, NFPA 101 and Energy code after June 2026	February 11
Board of Education The Board directed administration to notify Hilltop Securities of its intent to seek bids for $80M in bonds for a term of 25 years and structured as equal principal with year 1 interest only and year 2 principal and interest	February 19
Athletics Planning Meet with Concord Parks & Recreation to discuss plans for athletic use in spring and fall	February 20
