Facilities
Ensure that the Concord School District has state-of-the-art, sustainable infrastructure and facilities designed to support and enhance the learning experience and safety of all students and to enable staff and faculty to function at optimal levels.
Goal 1
Maintain a 10-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
- Determine areas of maintenance that have been deferred due to prior budgetary constraints and develop a list of priorities to be undertaken.
Goal 2
Determine infrastructure enhancements.
- Conduct an annual review of the Capital Improvement Plan with the school board.
- Determine school building infrastructure enhancements, e.g. HVAC, windows, doors, site/grounds, roofing, food services.
- Update the joint facility use agreement with the city in order to prioritize improvement needs and methods of athletic fields, facilities and grounds.
- Upgrade the transportation facility.
- New - Determine areas of Rundlett Middle School that need to be replaced while building the new middle school.
Goal 3
Improve school grounds.
- Develop a plan for school site’s landscaping grounds and fields.
- Upgrade the athletic fields.
- New – Conduct traffic studies at Beaver Meadow, Broken Ground and Mill Brooks schools and present a plan to the Capital Facilities Committee.
Goal 4
Address the sustainability of “campus renewal programs” across the district.
- Determine long range plans for all district buildings to become sustainable and reach for “net zero” energy.
- Engage a consulting firm to address needs across the district.

Goal 5
Build a new middle school.
- Design a facility conducive to the teaching and learning of adolescents in grades 6-8.
Goal 6
Evaluate district properties and assets and create a long-term plan.
