RECOGNITIONS / REPORTS
- Superintendent Report
- Annual Report – the annual report is available on the website and will be available at the library and community center
- Robotics grants at Abbot-Downing and Rundlett Middle School – each school received approximately $11k and will use the grants for drone programs
- Transportation Update – Gary Ford is assisting with day-to-day operations; a committee will be meeting to interview candidates
FACILITIES UPDATE
- CHS auditorium ceiling repair –repairs are being made to the auditorium ceiling; it will be off line for about three weeks
- COMF – working on conduit line and should be complete in about two weeks
FINANCE
- The Board reviewed district revenue and expenses and potential impacts due to the $2M healthcare assessment, a reduction in adequacy aid, a lower city evaluation than expected and higher special education costs
- There will be a public hearing on Wednesday, October 8 at 6pm in the Board room
INTRUCTIONAL COMMITTEE
- The Student/Staff Academic calendar was discussed
- AI presentation
- Course proposals – new courses at CHS were discussed, no staffing changes are needed
ADDED - NHSBA DELEGATE ASSEMBLY
- The Board briefly reviewed the proposed resolutions for the delegate assembly
PUBLIC COMMENT
- There were no public comments
PERSONNEL
- Winter Coaches – approved 9-0
- Winter Coaches – returning – approved 9-0
- CEA Nomination – approved 9-0
- Interim Superintendent through June 2026 – approved 9-0; the Superintendent search will start this month
VOTES
- Proposed 2026-2027 CHS Courses – approved 9-0
- Proposed 2026-2027 Student & Staff Academic calendar – version #5 – approved 9-0
NHSBA DELEGATE ASSEMBLY
- Sarah Robinson and Jess Campbell will be the delegates
- The Board discussed and recommended positions on resolutions for the delegate assembly
OTHER BUSINESS
- Monthly enrollment report – numbers are expected to fluctuate in the first month of school
PROPOSED CALENDARS OF MEETINGS – Upcoming dates were reviewed. Approved dates are posted on the website.
