BOND UPDATE
Business Administrator Jack Dunn provided an update on the preliminary bond structure for the new middle school project.
SCHOOL CELEBRATION: CRTC
CRTC student ambassadors shared their experience as part of the CRTC Ambassador program.
CMS CARES – CHRISTA MCAULIFFE SCHOOL
The CMS Cares team shared their work with the Board.

- Student Report
- CHS held its Winter Carnival just before break
- Girls and boys hockey are in the playoffs
- Wrestling has three state champions
- Tickets for the CHS spring musical, Dear Evan Hansen, are on sale now
- Superintendent Report
- Open administrative positions in the district – committees have been formed for the major administrative positions in the district; reposting the assistant superintendent of student services as a director position to draw more candidates
- March 20: Upcoming PD day – PLCs across the district will meet
- Pittsfield SAU Service – Pittsfield has shared an RFP asking for services – Superintendent Herbert is seeking permission to respond to RFP
FACILITIES UPDATE
Fire alarm annual testing was done at the schools during vacation week, as well as testing of speaker systems.
MIDDLE SCHOOL PROJECT UPDATE
Matt Cashman reviewed the project milestones and upcoming important dates. There will be a middle school neighborhood meeting on March 12 at Rundlett Middle School. Naming suggestions can still be submitted until March 20.
FINANCE
Financial updates are being provided as part of the budget process.
COMMUNICATIONS & POLICY
Three policies were presented for second reading.
- Policy 542.1, Unauthorized Communication Devices (2nd Read)
- Policy 580, Student Records and Access (2nd Read)
- Policy 741, Facility Use Policy (2nd Read) – tabling this meeting, waiting for language from bond counsel
NEGOTIATIONS
- CEA Update – have numerous tentative agreements after the last several meetings
