Name the Middle School

The current Rundlett Middle School was built in 1957 as a junior high school and named in honor of Louis Rundlett, who served as superintendent for more than 50 years. His dedication and leadership left a lasting impact on our schools and community, and we recognize his legacy as we begin this next chapter.
As we plan for a new building designed to support today’s learners and to educate them for lifelong success, we are asking the community to share name ideas that reflect our values, history and sense of place – rooted in Concord’s unique role as the capital, our tradition of civic engagement, and the people and places that have shaped our community.
Following district policy #735, the superintendent will recommend names to the Board of Education with the supporting reasons. There will be an opportunity to provide feedback to the Board before a decision is made.
Process
Name submissions are accepted through March 20. Superintendent Herbert will suggest names to the Concord Board of Education, who will make the final decision.
