Communication
Families, students, staff and our community need timely communication through a variety of channels. The district will organize resources, tools and training needed to actively communicate with stakeholders: students, family, staff and community. Strong communication improves student/parent engagement, student agency and student attendance, all influencing positive student achievement.
Goal 1
Enhance communication from the district to all stakeholders in the Concord community.
- Identify common communication tools to be used districtwide.
- Identify clear guidelines as to how/when tools are used for communication.
- Minimize barriers for non-English speaking families to ensure equal access to communication and information.
- New – provide training to all staff and community partners to meeting the federal guidelines under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Goal 2
Establish common communication tools and guidelines for staff.
- New – Publish a branding guide which includes communication and accessibility standards.
- Develop a communication plan for SAU staff, which includes a regular newsletter.
- Strengthen content on staff intranet.
- Provide consistent and ongoing training to staff on the use of communication tools as well as required trainings.
- Provide more resources during new staff onboarding (year-round).
Goal 3
Develop a marketing plan to highlight district accomplishments and brand our services.
- The director of communication will work with stakeholder groups to highlight excellence in our schools.
